- (a) A temporary license may be issued to an individual who meets the educational and apprenticeship requirements of this chapter.
- (b) The temporary license entitles an applicant to perform the activities of an athletic trainer until the results of the first examination, which the applicant is eligible to take, are released.
- (c) An applicant who failed an examination administered by the department, shall not be eligible for a temporary license. If a temporary license has previously been issued, it shall be voided and the applicant shall not be eligible for another temporary license.
- (d) A person who has been licensed as an athletic trainer and allowed the license to expire, may be eligible for a temporary license upon submission and approval of a new application for licensure. The expiration of a temporary license issued under this subsection will be in accordance with subsection (b).
