- (a) Parties to contested cases before the commission are applicants, protestants, petitioners, complainants, respondents, and intervenors. If there is an error in a party's designation in its pleadings, the examiner may assign a party an appropriate designation.
- (b) The examiner may align parties according to the nature of the proceeding.
