The Director and Librarian has exempted from deposit requirements certain kinds of state publications. A state agency is not required to deposit or provide access to these state publications:

1. (1) agendas;
2. (2) advertisements;
3. (3) alumni materials;
4. (4) announcements;
5. (5) artwork (graphical representations without textual information);
6. (6) calendars;
7. (7) complex relational databases;
8. (8) contracts;
9. (9) correspondence;
10. (10) course schedules;
11. (11) curriculum catalogs (departmental only);
12. (12) drafts of plans, reports;
13. (13) fiction;
14. (14) forms and instruction manuals for their completion;
15. (15) fund raising materials;
16. (16) grant proposals, bids;
17. (17) hearings (transcripts of);
18. (18) job listings;
19. (19) literary criticisms;
20. (20) memorabilia;
21. (21) memoranda (including e-mail);
22. (22) news or press releases;
23. (23) newsletters and subscriber lists meant only for employee, faculty or student use;
24. (24) notices of sale;
25. (25) opinions and orders issued by state courts;
26. (26) daily or weekly periodicals (that are summarized in monthly or quarterly publications);
27. (27) personnel manuals;
28. (28) photographs;
29. (29) poetry;
30. (30) policy handbooks intended only for internal use;
31. (31) programs (announcements of events, training sessions);
32. (32) recruitment materials;
33. (33) reprints (reissued without change);
34. (34) stationery;
35. (35) student publications (those produced by students);
36. (36) telephone directories meant only for employee, faculty, or student use;
37. (37) unedited compilations of data or information submitted via forms or other means from individuals or entities under the regulation of a state agency; and
38. (38) volunteer newsletters.
