For all formats, the Director and Librarian has exempted certain kinds of state publications from deposit requirements. A state agency is not required to deposit or provide access to state publications or other information in the materials listed as follows:

1. (1) agendas;
2. (2) advertisements;
3. (3) alumni materials;
4. (4) announcements;
5. (5) artwork;
6. (6) contracts;
7. (7) correspondence;
8. (8) drafts of plans, reports;
9. (9) fiction;
10. (10) fund raising materials;
11. (11) grant proposals, bids;
12. (12) literary criticisms;
13. (13) memorabilia;
14. (14) memoranda (including e-mail);
15. (15) notices of sale;
16. (16) daily or weekly periodicals (which are summarized in monthly or quarterly publications);
17. (17) photographs;
18. (18) poetry;
19. (19) recruitment materials;
20. (20) reprints (reissued without change);
21. (21) stationery;
22. (22) student publications (those produced by students); and
23. (23) volunteer newsletters.
