1. (a) The grant will terminate at the end of the date specified in the grant award, unless an extension is granted in accordance with §173.307(c)(3).
2. (b) If a grantee wishes to terminate a grant in whole or in part before the end of the grant period, the grantee must notify the Task Force in writing. The Task Force or its designee will make arrangements with the grantee for the early termination of the grant.

3. (c) The Task Force may terminate any grant, in whole or in part, when:

   1. (1) a grantee fails to comply with any term or condition of the grant or the grantee has failed to comply with any applicable rule;
   2. (2) the grantee and the Director of the Task Force agree to do so;
   3. (3) grant funds are no longer available; or
   4. (4) conditions exist that make it unlikely that grant or program objectives will be accomplished.
