- (a) Overpayment. The filing officer shall accrue the amount of the overpayment to the client account if the overpayment is less than $5. This amount may be refunded upon written request of the remitter. If the overpayment amount is $5 or more, it will be refunded to the remitter.
- (b) Underpayment. Upon receipt of a document with an insufficient fee, the filing officer shall do the following: The document shall be returned to the remitter as provided in §96.41 of this title.
