- (a) Overpayment. The filing officer shall accrue the amount of the overpayment to the client account or refund the amount of an overpayment to the remitter upon the written request of the submitter.
- (b) Underpayment. Upon receipt of a document with an insufficient fee, the filing officer shall do the following: The document shall be returned to the remitter as provided in §96.41 of this title.
