If the OAG determines that a disabled peace officer is eligible for an award under this subchapter, the OAG will compute the amount of the annual payment based on the average annual net salary, minus any amount from collateral sources, consistent with the provisions of this subchapter and Tex. Code Crim. Proc. Art. 56.542 and in accordance with any other controlling provisions of state law, including the Texas Constitution.
