Who provides the money for this chapter's assistance programs?

- (a) The federal government and the state of Texas provide the money for the TANF Program. The state of Texas provides the money for the TANF State Program.
- (b) The federal government provides most of the money for the Food Stamp Program and the state of Texas provides the rest. Federal funds pay for food stamp benefits and for one-half of the administrative costs. The state of Texas pays the other half of the administrative costs.
