1. (a) Households eligible for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits also qualify for medical assistance under Medicaid, as provided by §1931 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. §1396u-1).

2. (b) To be eligible for TANF-level medical assistance, a person must be a caretaker or second parent of a dependent child under 19 years of age who:

   1. (1) meets TANF eligibility criteria; and
   2. (2) receives Medicaid.
3. (c) The caretaker or second parent is ineligible if the dependent child receives benefits under the Children's Health Insurance Program.
