In computing any period of time under this subchapter, the period begins on the day after the act or event in question and concludes either:

1. (1) on the last day of the period; or
2. (2) if the last day of the period is a Saturday, Sunday, or official State holiday, on the next day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, or official State holiday.
