The following words and terms, when used in this chapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
- (1) Compressed video--Video data that has been digitized and in the process, condensed by the use of one or more of the common video compression processes (lossy, lossless, interframe compression, etc.). A codec produces compressed video and uncompresses the video at the remote end.
- (2) ITU--International Telecommunication Union.
- (3) Meeting--shall have the same meaning as set forth in Chapter 551, Texas Government Code.
- (4) Videoconference--A communication conducted between two or more persons in which one or more of the participants communicate with the other participants through duplex audio and video signals transmitted over a telephone network, a data network, or the Internet.
