Except for applications from state agencies, each application must include a resolution from the applicable governing body (such as the city council, county commissioners' court, school board, or board of directors) that contains the following:

1. (1) authorization for the submission of the application to CJD that clearly identifies the project for which funding is requested;
2. (2) a commitment to provide for all applicable matching funds;
3. (3) a designation of the name or title of an authorized official who is given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate a grant (if this designation changes during the grant period, a new resolution must be submitted to CJD by the governing body); and
4. (4) a written assurance that, in the event of loss or misuse of grant funds, the governing body will return all funds to CJD.
