(a) CJD publishes Requests for Applications (RFA) in the Texas Register for all grant projects. When applying for a grant pursuant to a Request for Applications (RFA), applicants must submit their applications according to the requirements provided in the RFA. The RFA will provide the following:
- (1) the applicable funding source or sources;
- (2) the kinds of grants available;
- (3) information regarding deadlines for grant submission;
- (4) the maximum and minimum amounts of funding available for a grant, if applicable;
- (5) the start dates for grants, and the length of grant periods;
- (6) how applicants may obtain application kits; and
- (7) where applicants must submit applications.
- (b) CJD may also consider applications for non-scheduled grants that are not submitted pursuant to an RFA. Applicants must submit such applications in accordance with CJD-provided guidelines for non-scheduled grants, and will be selected in accordance with §3.7(b) of this chapter.
- (c) Once CJD awards a grant that has been submitted under §3.5(a)-(b), it is within the discretion of CJD to renew that grant. If CJD chooses to exercise this option, then the COG or CJD will notify the grantee of any documentation needed to renew the award. Submission of this documentation, within the timelines provided by the COG or CJD, is a requirement of renewed funding.
