Text of section effective on June 01, 2017

1. (a) Before a lease may be executed by the commission under Section 60.034 of this code, the commission shall have a notice requesting bids on the lease published in a newspaper of general circulation in the district. The notice shall be published at least once a week for two consecutive weeks before the final date for the receipt of bids.

2. (b) The notice shall include:

   1. (1) the approximate amount of land offered;
   2. (2) the general location of the land;
   3. (3) the time and place for receipt of bids;
   4. (4) the place where specifications may be obtained;
   5. (5) information concerning security for the bids; and
   6. (6) a statement that the commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
