Sec. 521.121. GENERAL INFORMATION ON DRIVER'S LICENSE

1. (a) The driver's license must include:

   1. (1) a distinguishing number assigned by the department to the license holder;
   2. (2) a photograph of the entire face of the holder;
   3. (3) the full name and date of birth of the holder;
   4. (4) a brief description of the holder; and

   5. (5) the license holder's residence address or, for a license holder using the procedure under Subsection (c):

      1. (A) the street address of the courthouse in which the license holder or license holder's spouse or parent:

         1. (i) serves as a federal judge, including a federal bankruptcy judge, a marshal of the United States Marshals Service, a United States attorney, or a state judge; or
         2. (ii) performs duties related to court administration, including a court clerk, court coordinator, court administrator, juvenile case manager, law clerk, or staff attorney; or
      2. (B) the office address of the office in which the license holder or the license holder's spouse or parent performs duties as an employee of the office of a county clerk, district clerk, or county and district clerk, or of the Office of Court Administration of the Texas Judicial System and entities administratively attached to the office, or as an employee or commissioner of the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
2. (b) The driver's license must include a facsimile of the license holder's signature or a space on which the holder shall write the holder's usual signature in ink immediately on receipt of the license. A license is not valid until it complies with this subsection.
3. (c) The department shall establish a procedure, on a license holder's qualification for or appointment to office as a federal or state judge as defined by Section 1.005, Election Code, or as a county clerk, district clerk, or county and district clerk, or as a federal bankruptcy judge, a marshal of the United States Marshals Service, a United States attorney, or for a license holder whose duties relate to court administration, including a court clerk, court coordinator, court administrator, juvenile case manager, law clerk, or staff attorney, or as an employee of the office of a county clerk, district clerk, or county and district clerk, or of the Office of Court Administration of the Texas Judicial System and entities administratively attached to the office, or as an employee or commissioner of the State Commission on Judicial Conduct, to omit the residence address of the judge, official, employee, or commissioner and any family member of the judge, official, employee, or commissioner on the license holder's license and to print, in lieu of that address, the street address of the courthouse or office building in which the license holder or license holder's spouse or parent serves as a federal or state judge, official, employee, or commissioner.
4. (c-1) The residence address of a license holder whose residence address is omitted using the procedure under Subsection (c) is confidential and is available only for the official use of the department or a law enforcement agency.

6. (e) Except as provided by this section, a driver's license issued under this chapter:

   1. (1) must:

      1. (A) be in the same format;
      2. (B) have the same appearance and orientation; and
      3. (C) contain the same type of information; and
   2. (2) may not include any information that this chapter does not reference or require.
7. (f) In this section, "family member" has the meaning assigned by Section 31.006, Finance Code.
