1. (a) A person commits an offense if the person:

   1. (1) knowingly engages in air conditioning and refrigeration contracting without holding a license issued under this chapter; or
   2. (2) is not a student described by Section 1302.502 and knowingly engages in air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance work without holding a contractor license or a technician registration or certification issued under this chapter.
2. (b) Repealed by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 415, Sec. 3(4), eff. June 14, 2013.
3. (c) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
