1. (a) The Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners consists of nine members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate as follows:

   1. (1) two members who are licensed master social workers;
   2. (2) two members who are licensed baccalaureate social workers;
   3. (3) two members who are licensed clinical social workers; and
   4. (4) three members who represent the public.
2. (b) Appointments to the board shall be made without regard to the race, color, disability, sex, religion, age, or national origin of the appointee.
