1. (a) Not later than the 20th day after the date the person receives the notice under Section 504.303, the person may:

   1. (1) accept the department's determination and proposed administrative penalty; or
   2. (2) make a written request for a hearing on that determination.
2. (b) If the person accepts the department's determination, the department by order shall approve the determination and assess the proposed penalty.
