1. (a) The executive commissioner:

   1. (1) may adopt rules to govern the activities of the medical advisory board;
   2. (2) by rule may establish a reasonable fee to pay a member of the medical advisory board for the member's professional consultation services; and
   3. (3) if appropriate, may authorize reimbursement for travel expenses as provided by Section 2110.004, Government Code, for each meeting a member attends.
2. (b) The fee under Subsection (a)(2) may not be less than $75 or more than $150 for each meeting that the member attends.
