- (a) A state bank may establish and maintain a branch office at any location on prior written approval of the banking commissioner. If the banking commissioner does not have a significant supervisory or regulatory concern regarding the proposed branch, the applicant, or an affiliate of the applicant, the banking commissioner shall approve the application.
- (b) The finance commission may adopt rules establishing additional standards for the approval of branch offices.
- (c) A state bank may not establish or maintain a branch on the premises or property of an affiliate if the affiliate engages in a commercial activity.
