1. (a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), a guardian is considered to have qualified when the guardian has:

   1. (1) taken and filed the oath, or made and filed the declaration, required under Section 1105.051;
   2. (2) given the required bond;
   3. (3) obtained the judge's approval of the bond; and
   4. (4) filed the bond with the clerk.
2. (b) A guardian who is not required to give a bond is considered to have qualified when the guardian has taken and filed the oath, or made and filed the declaration, as required under Section 1105.051.
