S.C. Code Ann. § 62-7-417
If a trustee determines that an allocation between principal and income required by Section 62-7-418, 62-7-419, 62-7-420, 62-7-421, or 62-7-424 is insubstantial, the trustee may allocate the entire amount to principal unless one of the circumstances provided in Section 62-7-404(C) applies to the allocation. This power may be exercised by a cotrustee in the circumstances provided in Section 62-7-404(D) and may be released for the reasons and in the manner provided in Section 62-7-404(E).
