S.C. Code Ann. § 56-3-2640
Section effective until January 18, 2024.
Every dealer who issues temporary plates shall insert clearly and indelibly on the face of each temporary license plate the date of issuance, the date of expiration, the make, and the identification number of the vehicle for which issued and such other information as the Department of Motor Vehicles shall require.

2023 Act No. 51, Sections 32 and 40(C)(1), provide as follows:
"SECTION 32. Article 29, Chapter 3, Title 56 of the S.C. Code is repealed."
"[SECTION 40.](C)(1) SECTIONS 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 30, 31, 32, and 33 take effect eight months after the approval by the Governor, provided that necessary solicitations are awarded in a timely manner in accordance with the State Consolidated Procurement Code."
