As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:

1. (1) "Contractor" means designated agent or the party with which the Department of Motor Vehicles contracts pursuant to Section 56-10-640.
2. (2) "Database" means the motorist insurance database described in Section 56-10-640.
3. (3) "Department" means the Department of Motor Vehicles.
4. (4) "Division" means the Department of Motor Vehicles.
5. (5) "Program" means the motorist insurance database program created in Section 56-10-640.
