S.C. Code Ann. § 50-11-760
The hunting of all game from public roads and rights-of-way owned by railroads is prohibited whenever the public roads or railroad rights-of-way are adjacent to lands that are posted against trespassing or hunting. The provisions of this section do not apply to hunting by owners of the adjacent lands or by persons who have permission of the owners to hunt the adjacent lands. "Hunting" as used in this section includes the hunting of deer by occupying stands therefor. Any person violating the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not more than one hundred dollars or be imprisoned for a period not to exceed thirty days.
