In Game Zones 6 and 11 male wild turkeys, gobblers, may be hunted from March fifteenth to May first, inclusive; but landowners of ten thousand acres or more may have an option of choosing the hunting season provided herein or a hunting season which extends from the day before Thanksgiving to March fifteenth of each year. If they elect the option of the season extending from the day before Thanksgiving to March fifteenth, hunting on such lands during such season is lawful upon the filing of a notarized statement of the election with the department at least ten days prior to the opening of the season.
