1. (A) Such equipment as deemed necessary by the department must be required of organizations applying for ambulance permits. Each licensee of an ambulance shall comply with regulations as may be promulgated by the board and shall maintain in each ambulance, when it is in use as such, all equipment as may be prescribed by the board.
2. (B) The transportation of patients and the provision of emergency medical services shall conform to standards promulgated by the board.

Effect of Amendment

The 2004 amendment, in subsection (a), substituted "must" for "of Health and Environmental Control shall" following "department" and made nonsubstantive changes.

The 2010 amendment changed the subsection designators from lower to upper case and in subsection (B), substituted "promulgated" for "adopted".
