1. (A) A person may lawfully donate blood if he is:

   1. (1) at least seventeen years of age; or
   2. (2) sixteen years of age and has the written consent of his parent or guardian.
2. (B) A person under eighteen years of age may not sell blood.

Effect of Amendment

The 2006 amendment made nonsubstantive changes.

The 2008 amendment rewrote this section to add the provision relating to parental permission for persons sixteen years of age to donate blood.

The 2009 amendment made no apparent changes.
