Military Department of South Carolina equipment, supplies, and personnel may be used to maintain the museum and collection, but no state funds shall be expended therefor. The board may improve existing grounds by the construction of concrete slabs and fencing for suitable outdoor display of large items of heavy equipment such as artillery, armored vehicles, and other military equipment and weapons.
