1. (1) When a document is required to be signed by the employing agency the document must be signed by one of the following:

   1. (a) The department head of a public safety agency;
   2. (b) A currently certified public safety professional authorized by the department head of a public safety agency;
   3. (c) A manager or supervisor authorized by the department head of a private safety agency; or
   4. (d) When the employing agency is not a public or private safety agency, a manager or supervisor within the human resources division of the agency.
2. (2) Documents may include, but are not limited to, any DPSST form, letter, affidavit, or supporting documentation submitted to DPSST.
3. (3) Course attendance rosters may also be signed by the training sponsors, or instructors, or agency personnel as designated by the department head.
4. (4) DPSST has the discretion to make an exception to any of the above at any time.
