Effective July 1, 1986, the position of Public Information Officer within the Office of State Finance shall become subject to the provisions of the Merit System of Personnel Administration prescribed by the Oklahoma Personnel Act, Section 840.1 et seq. of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes, and the rules promulgated thereunder. The incumbent employee shall be granted permanent status in the classified service without regard to qualifications or examinations, in the class to which the position is allocated by the Office of Personnel Management.
