- A. Beginning January 1, 2003, the owner or lessee of every elevator in service in this state shall report to the Construction Industries Board any injury which occurs as a result of the operation or malfunction of an elevator. B. Beginning January 1, 2004 and annually thereafter, the Construction Industries Board shall submit a report of the data collected pursuant to this section to the Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
