Okla. Stat. tit. 59, § 1254
The members of the first Board shall be appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate. Those persons presently serving on that Board formerly known as the Board of Registration, now State Board of Licensed Social Workers, shall continue to serve until the expiration of their terms. Thereafter, at the expiration of the term of each member, the Governor shall appoint, with the advice and consent of the Senate, the member's successor for a term of three (3) years from the date of appointment after July 1, 1981. Members may serve more than two (2) terms, but shall be limited to serving no more than two (2) consecutive terms. Vacancies on the Board shall be filled in a like manner for the balance of any unexpired term. Members of the Board may be removed from office for cause. Members of the Board shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed their actual and necessary travel expenses as provided in the State Travel Reimbursement Act. The records, equipment, staff and monies on deposit with the State Treasurer's Office belonging to the Board of Registration of Social Workers shall be transferred to the newly formed State Board of Licensed Social Workers, and any monies belonging to the Board of Registration of Social Workers shall be transferred to the Licensed Social Workers' Revolving Fund.
