The State Board of Health shall promulgate rules and regulations governing the examination and licensing of building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other construction inspectors and the establishment of classifications for such inspectors. The State Board of Health may adopt as part of such rules and regulations any or all nationally recognized inspector certification programs or codes for purposes of building and construction inspector licensing. The rules and regulations adopted by the State Board of Health shall provide requirements for continuing education for building and construction inspectors.
