Unlawful to Use the Title "Licensed Interior Designer" if Not Licensed or Exempt - Penalty

- A. It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to use the title "Interior Designer" or any other derivation of the words to indicate that the person or entity is registered under the provisions of this act, if the person is not registered under this act and not exempt from the requirement for registration.
- B. Any person who, for a fee or other direct compensation, holds himself or herself out as a person registered as an interior designer, advertises, puts out any sign, card or drawings in this state designating himself or herself as an "Interior Designer" or uses some form of the term "Interior Design" in the title of a profession or business without first having complied with the provisions of the State Architectural and Interior Designers Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
