Okla. Stat. tit. 59, § 396.20
It shall be unlawful to embalm a dead human body when any fact within the knowledge or brought to the attention of the embalmer is sufficient to arouse suspicion of crime in connection with the cause of death of the deceased, until permission of the coroner, or a justice of the peace, if there be no coroner, has been first obtained.
