Authority of Department to Cancel License - Appeal

- A. The Department of Public Safety is hereby authorized to cancel any driver's license upon determining that the licensee was not entitled to the issuance thereof hereunder or that said licensee failed to give the required or correct information in his application or committed any fraud in making such application. B. Upon determination that fraudulent information was used to apply for or obtain a Class A, B or C driver's license, the Department shall disqualify said applicant or licensee from applying for said Class A, B or C driver's license for a minimum of sixty (60) days. C. Upon such cancellation, the licensee must surrender the driver's license so canceled to the Department. D. Any person whose license is canceled under the provisions of this section shall have the right to an appeal as provided in Section 47-6-211 of this title.
