1. A. Title insurers shall be governed by this article and, to the extent not modified by or inconsistent with the provisions of this article or the provisions of this code made applicable to such insurers, by the general laws of this state governing corporations organized for profit.
2. B. To the extent not modified by the provisions of this article, title insurers shall be subject to and governed by the other applicable provisions of this code.
3. C. No new insurance law hereafter enacted shall be deemed to apply to title insurers unless they be expressly referred to therein.
