Any person who shall knowingly give false information with respect to information required to be maintained in the book or register provided for in Section 1045 of this title shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections for not more than two (2) years, or by a fine of not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or by both such fine and imprisonment.
