Any director or officer of an association may, for cause at any regular meeting or at any special meeting called for the purpose, at which a majority of the members shall be present, be removed from office by vote of not less than two-thirds of the members present. Reasonable notice of the time, place, and object of any such meeting shall be given in the manner prescribed in the bylaws, to the members, and to the director or officer against whom charges are to be presented. Such director or officer, shall, at the same time, be informed in writing of such charges, and at such meeting shall have an opportunity to be heard in person, by counsel, and by witness, in regard thereto.
