Department of Agriculture State Indemnity Special Fund

- A. The Department of Agriculture State Indemnity Special Fund is hereby created in the State Treasury for the State Department of Agriculture.
- B. The fund shall consist of any monies appropriated to the Department specifically for transfer to the fund. The fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal year limitations, and shall be under the control and management of the administrative authority of the Department .
- C. Expenditures from the fund shall be pursuant to the laws of this state and in accordance with rules promulgated by the State Board of Agriculture.
- D. The fund shall be for the purpose of funding state indemnity payments to owners of cattle destroyed due to brucellosis.
- E. All expenditures shall be approved by the Board . Warrants for expenditures from the fund shall be based on claims signed by an authorized employee of the Department and approved for payment by the Director of State Finance.
