Chapter 14. Limited Liability Companies
§14.1. Limited Liability Companies May Own Property.

Limited liability companies are capable of holding title to real property in Oklahoma from and after September 1, 1992.

The 1994 Report of the Title Examination Standards Committee recommended this new Chapter (standards 25.1 through 25. 8 inclusive) as a result of the legislature's recognition of the LLC form of business organization in 18 O.S. § 2001 et seq . (1992 and revised 1993). 65 O.B.A.J. 3334 (10/22/94). The Committee's recommendation was approved by the Real Property Section on November 17, 1994, and adopted by the House of Delegates on November 18, 1994.
