1. A. The Term "appropriate public authorities" as used in Article III of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, with reference to this state, means the Department of Human Services. The Department shall receive and act with reference to notices required by Article III of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children.
2. B. The Department may contract, as necessary, with any public or private entity to administer or otherwise perform such functions as may be required for the proper administration of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children.
