1. (a) Reactors, suspects and exposed animals may move from a quarantined herd or premises under permit directly to slaughter or to an official quarantine facility.
2. (b) Reactors must remain on the premises where they are found until they have been identified by hot iron branding with the letter "B" (at least 2 × 2 inches) on the left hip and an official reactor tag has been placed in the left ear.
3. (c) Suspects must remain on the premises where they are found until they have been identified by hot iron branding with the letter "S" (at least 2 × 2 inches) on the left hip and an official eartag has been placed in the right ear.
4. (d) Exposed animals must remain on the premises where they are found until they have been identified by hot iron branding with the letter "S" (at least 2 × 2 inches) on the left hip and an official eartag has been placed in the right ear.
5. (e) In lieu of tagging and branding, reactor, suspect and exposed animals may move directly to slaughter in a sealed vehicle, accompanied by a State or Federal animal health official.
6. (f) Calves or fawns may move from a quarantined herd or premises only after neutering or "S" branding, or directly to slaughter under seal.
