1. (A) For the purpose of determining whether a prospective foster caregiver or foster caregiver has satisfied the requirement of section 5103.031 or 5103.032 of the Revised Code, a recommending agency shall accept training obtained from either of the following:

   1. (1) Any preplacement or continuing training program approved by the department of job and family services under section 5103.038 of the Revised Code;
   2. (2) The Ohio child welfare training program pursuant to divisions (B) and (C) of section 5103.30 of the Revised Code.
2. (B) A recommending agency may require that a prospective foster caregiver or foster caregiver successfully complete additional training as a condition of the agency recommending that the department of job and family services certify the prospective foster caregiver or foster caregiver's foster home under section 5103.03 of the Revised Code.
