(A) Quarterly, the department of job and family services shall compile a report on public assistance programs in this state, including the following information:
(1) Regarding the supplemental nutrition assistance program:
- (a) The number of accounts with high balances, as determined by the department;
- (b) The number of out-of-state transactions;
- (c) The number of transactions when the final amount processed was a whole dollar amount without additional cents;
(d) Beginning with the quarterly report submitted during the second quarter of calendar year 2026, the payment error rate for the program, including all of the following:
- (i) Each distinct payment error calculated in accordance with the methodology and technical system established under section 5101.546 of the Revised Code;
- (ii) Payment error rates for each county;
- (iii) The payment error rate for the state as a whole.
(2) Regarding public assistance programs in this state, including the supplemental nutrition assistance program, temporary assistance for needy families, or cash assistance, the number of:
- (a) Payments made in error, and the dollar amount of those payments;
- (b) Work requirement exemptions issued;
- (c) Confirmed cases of intentional program violation and fraud.
- (B) The department shall submit the report to the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives, the chairs of any legislative committee with jurisdiction over public assistance, and the chairs and ranking members of the finance committees of both the house of representatives and the senate.
