1. (A)

   1. (1) In the case of nontax-supported schools, standards for teacher certification prescribed under section 3301.07 of the Revised Code shall provide for certification, without further educational requirements, of any administrator, supervisor, or teacher who has attended and received a bachelor's degree or a master's degree from a college or university accredited by a national or regional association in the United States except that, at the discretion of the state board of education, this requirement may be met by having an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university of comparable standing.
   2. (2) In the case of nonchartered, nontax-supported schools, the standards for teacher certification prescribed under section 3301.07 of the Revised Code shall provide for certification, without further educational requirements, of any administrator, supervisor, or teacher who has attended and received a diploma from a "bible college" or "bible institute" described in division (E) of section 1713.02 of the Revised Code.

   3. (3) A certificate issued under division (A)(3) of this section shall be valid only for teaching foreign language, music, religion, computer technology, or fine arts. Notwithstanding division (A)(1) of this section, the standards for teacher certification prescribed under section 3301.07 of the Revised Code shall provide for certification of a person as a teacher upon receipt by the state board of an affidavit signed by the chief administrative officer of a chartered nonpublic school seeking to employ the person, stating that the person meets one of the following conditions:

      1. (a) The person has specialized knowledge, skills, or expertise that qualifies the person to provide instruction.
      2. (b) The person has provided to the chief administrative officer evidence of at least three years of teaching experience in a public or nonpublic school.
      3. (c) The person has provided to the chief administrative officer evidence of completion of a teacher training program named in the affidavit.
2. (B) Each person applying for a certificate under this section for purposes of serving in a nonpublic school chartered by the director of education and workforce under section 3301.16 of the Revised Code shall pay a fee in the amount established under division (A) of section 3319.51 of the Revised Code. Any fees received under this division shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the state board of education certification fund established under division (B) of section 3319.51 of the Revised Code.
3. (C) A person applying for or holding any certificate pursuant to this section for purposes of serving in a nonpublic school chartered by the director is subject to sections 3123.41 to 3123.50 of the Revised Code and any applicable rules adopted under section 3123.63 of the Revised Code and sections 3319.31 and 3319.311 of the Revised Code. (D) Divisions (B) and (C) of this section and sections 3319.291, 3319.31, and 3319.311 of the Revised Code do not apply to any administrators, supervisors, or teachers in nonchartered, nontax-supported schools.
4. (D) Divisions (B) and (C) of this section and sections 3319.291, 3319.31, and 3319.311 of the Revised Code do not apply to any administrators, supervisors, or teachers in nonchartered, nontax-supported schools.
