There is hereby created within the department of administrative services the 9-1-1 program office, headed by an administrator in the unclassified civil service pursuant to division (A)(9) of section 124.11 of the Revised Code. The administrator shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the director of administrative services and shall report directly to the state chief information officer. The program office shall administer the wireless 9-1-1 government assistance fund as specified in sections 128.53 and 128.55 of the Revised Code.
