* § 19.31 Medication assisted treatment training requirement. Every person who is a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor pursuant to subdivision (d) of section 19.07 of this article or a qualified health care professional who provides treatment or counseling services at a substance use disorder facility, at a school or pursuant to the Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000, shall, within eighteen months of the effective date of this section or within one year of commencing the provision of any such treatment or counseling, whichever shall be later, successfully complete a course of instruction relating to medication assisted treatment approved by the office. * NB Effective January 1, 2017
